Madeleine Marie Slavick: a writer and photographer, Slavick has lived in Hong Kong longer than anywhere else. She has exhibited her photography internationally and has edited about thirty books. She has also been a writer with Oxfam, a social worker with elderly people, a counselor with teenagers, a teacher of English and Writing, a campaigner for environmental issues, and a photographer with assignments in Brazil, China, Indonesia, India, Korea, The Philippines, South Africa and Vietnam. Her books include "Something Beautiful Might Happen," "My Favourite Thing," "Delicate Access" and "Round - Poems and Photographs of Asia."
