Astanga is a dynamic and vigorous practice that uses breath control techniques (vinyasa) to flow from one asana (posture) to the next. The regular practice of Astanga will cleanse the body, still the mind and promote invigorating energy. It will also give you a high level of fitness and incredible body tone. The book features helpful adaptations for people of all abilities, whether modifications for the more inflexible or more advanced variations. It also presents special at-a-glance sequences of varying lengths, vital for people with less time to devote to their practice. Clearly written and beautifully illustrated with stunning colour step-by-step sequences and over 1000 images, this book will provide a fund of yogic wisdom for mind and body that can be appreciated by anyone, at any level.
