Product Information

Fiona Farrell was born in Oamaru. She has worked as an editor, teacher and writer in Canada, France and New Zealand and now lives with her partner on Banks Peninsula. Fiona's poetry and short stories have been widely published, and a number of plays performed. She is the author of a collection of poetry, Cutting Out, and a collection of short stories, The Rock Garden. Her novel The Skinny Louie Book, published by Penguin in 1992, won the fiction section of the New Zealand Book Awards in 1993. Fiona has also received an Arts Council Scholarship in Letters, in 1991, and in 1995 she was the Katherine Mansfield Memorail Fellow in Menton, France.
